Michael Lang brought a lot of joy to the American populace when he organized the successful Woodstock ‘69 festival. It was a turbulent time in the USA, with civil rights unrest and riots against the Vietnam war rocking the country. Therefore, music lovers embraced Woodstock’s theme of peace and love.
Lang attempted to bring back the vibes of Woodstock ‘69 three decades later, but the event was a catastrophic failure. Riots, theft, sexual assault, and death replaced the peace and love promised by the organizers.
Michael Lang passed away in early 2022, three months after giving an interview for the Netflix documentary Trainwreck: Woodstock ‘99.
Michael Lang had two sons with his second wife, Tamara Pajic
At the time of his death, Michael Lang was married to Tamara Pajic. The pair had two sons: Harry and Laszlo.
Pajic also helped take care of Lang’s three daughters from his previous marriage to vocalist Ann Lang. Ann served as a backup singer to Leon Russell and Joe Cocker.
The pair married in 1978 and welcomed Molly, LariAnn, and Shala before their divorce in 1982.
Michael preferred to keep his personal life away from the limelight. Therefore, there’s little public information about his wives and children.
